Quest Construction begins Shogun Japanese Restaurant
San Diego, CA - January 14, 2004
Quest Construction has begun construction of the 1,100 square foot Shogun Japanese Restaurant in the UCSD's Price Center Game Room. This is the second Shogun Restaurant to be built in San Diego and will be serving a variety of steak, chicken, tempura, sushi and other Japanese favorites. Quest Construction was chosen, in part, due to their familiarity with the site, having past projects there including construction of a Round Table Pizza and recent remodel of the entire Game Room space.
This restaurant will be contemporary both in cuisine and design. Shogun will offer a self-serve sushi case and warm and cold food trays along the counter for students on the go. Regular restaurant style seating will also be available for the many visitors. The full kitchen will include a fryer, a broiler and a specialty rice cooker and UCSD is very proud to offer this healthful, stylish, Pacific Rim venue.
The project was designed by Dowler Gruman Architect. Purchasing of food service equipment is being coordinated through US Foodservice. Other consultants included Green Plumbing, DEC Consulting Engineers (mechanical) and MPE Consulting (electrical).
